High-Purity PTFE Insulators for Electrical, Thermal & Chemical Protection
Instrumentation and process control systems in clean-rooms and chemical facilities require materials combining excellent dielectric strength, chemical inertness and low particulate shedding. Components often operate in sterile or controlled environments where contamination control is vital.
Beldam Crossley manufactures precision PTFE insulators and barrier components designed to protect sensitive electronic, monitoring and dosing systems from electrical, thermal and chemical exposure. Our engineered Crossflon® formulations maintain performance across extreme temperatures and aggressive media.
Crossflon® Materials for Insulation and Barriers
• Crossflon® 1000 — Virgin PTFE
Ultra-pure, chemically inert and low outgassing. Ideal for clean-room and sterile systems, analytical equipment and inert flow paths.
• Crossflon® 601 — Glass Filled PTFE
Improved dielectric strength and thermal capability for electrical assemblies, sensors, terminal barriers and insulated housings.
• Crossflon® FG — With Inorganic fillers
Highly stable under thermal cycling and cryogenic exposure. Suitable for insulation where temperature gradients are severe.
• Crossflon® 1408 – With Inorganic fillers
Enhanced load bearing properties and excellent wear resistant characteristics, Can be used with soft surfaces.
Crossflon® offers non-reactivity, broader temperature capability, low friction/non-stick; performance advantages for integral sealing and instrumentation applications.
Applications Include
• Electrical barrier components
• Insulators for dosing/monitoring systems
• Cryogenic and thermal protection
• Clean-room housings and manifolds
• Chemically inert interface parts
Why is PTFE Preferred in Sterile & Chemical Environments?
- Ultra-low contamination risk, one of the lowest outgassing polymers available
- Dielectric and thermal stability
- Beldam Crossley offer precise machining for complex geometries
- Resists strong acids, bases, solvents and chemical vapours
In high-purity environments, the wrong material can compromise safety, sterility and compliance. Crossflon® insulators and Barrier Components offer long-life performance and proven reliability for critical clean-room and chemical system applications.
