V Bellows
Flexible PTFE Bellows for Low-Pressure Pipeline Systems
Made in Britain
Cost-Effective, Vibration-Absorbing Bellows for Misalignment & Expansion Control
Beldam Crossley’s Type V PTFE Bellows offer enhanced flexibility and economy for low-pressure applications. Produced by slicing the convolutions into the PTFE core, these bellows deliver superior vibration absorption and movement accommodation, making them ideal for pipe misalignment correction, low-pressure systems, and splash protection.
What Are V-Type Bellows?
V bellows differ from M bellows in the way they are produced: the convolutions are cut (not machined) into the PTFE core. This approach results in a thinner wall structure that enhances flexibility but is better suited to lower pressures.
Ideal for:
- Low-pressure pipelines
- Vibration damping
- Thermal expansion absorption
- Environmental protection for inline components
Key Benefits of V Bellows
- Greater flexibility per unit length
- Lightweight and compact for system space-saving
- Temperature range: -240°C to +200°C
- Resistant to aggressive chemicals and solvents
- Cost-effective for non-critical sealing environments
Also referred to as:
- Flexible PTFE bellows
- Low-pressure expansion joints
- Vibration compensators

Frequently Asked Questions
V Bellows are cut rather than machined, offering greater flexibility for a given length but with a lower pressure rating. They’re ideal for vibration absorption and misalignment correction.
While PTFE has excellent durability, the flexible nature and lower wall thickness of V Bellows means they are typically specified for permanent installation in low-pressure applications.
Yes. Like all our PTFE products, V Bellows operate in extreme temperatures from -240°C to +200°C without degradation
.
They can be supplied either as standalone components or pre-assembled with flange kits and limiting screws to protect against over-expansion in service.
Yes. PTFE’s non-stick and non-reactive properties make V Bellows ideal for sanitary process systems. Food-grade certification options are available on request.
