Beldam Crossley offer a comprehensive range of polymer and metal machining capabilities ranging from PTFE, Peak, nylons, polypropylene, steel, stainless steel and aluminium with a flexibility of manufacturing one off development prototype components to volume production batches.
The site hold a number of machines and tooling to support the polymer and metal machining customer requirements from conventional machining to CNC machining on Milling, Turning and Grinding.
Milling Department
The milling department has the capability of machining both simple and complex components on its CNC 4th axis machines, with the ability of machining relatively small components to large components within a work envelope of 1000mm x 540mm x 480mm.
Turning Department
The turning department hold a number of lathes from conventional machines including a lathe with a 1.2m face plate to CNC lathes with bar feeders to support volume production and lathes with live tooling and 4th axis to support the manufacture of cost effective turned / milled components.
Other Capabilities
The site holds grinding machines for both polymer and metals, a travelling head press to support the manufacture of volume punched components to sheet and knife cutting machines giving the capability of cutting complex shapes from a variety of sheet materials.
Assembly Capabilities
The manufacturing department not also has the ability of machining components to drawing but also provides a service of assembling machines components and purchase parts into sub assemblies or final assemblies to support the customer requirements.
